In August 2019, Prof. Bing Dong joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Syracuse University, bringing the Built Environment Science & Technology (BEST) Lab from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
The lab has established its primary research space within the Syracuse Center of Excellence (SyracuseCoE) — a 58,000 sq ft research hub at 900 South Crouse Avenue, housing more than 200 partner organizations focused on indoor environmental quality and energy systems innovation.
This move opens new opportunities for collaboration with CoE partners and positions BEST Lab to leverage unique experimental infrastructure — including the TIEQ Lab environmental chamber, instrumented residential test houses, and a network of industry partners.
